Sunglasses
The sunlight is responsible for our visual perception but in parallel it contains ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which is absorbed from the front surfaces of the eye (i.e the cornea and crystalline lens) and is possible to cause pathological conditions such as photokeratitis, pterygium and cataract.
Research has shown that UV radiation forms on of the main reasons for Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) which is the main cause of blindness in the Western world! DITA Eyewear
DITA eyewear company was created from two friends Jeff Solorio and John Juniper. They designed the first collection of sunglasses and eyewear at 1996, using there experience from the world of design and photography!
Their influence from the decade of the 50s and 60s matches with new innovative designs and materials, such as titanium, 18k gold and 'zyl acetate' (Japanese origin). This resulted to the introduction of contemporary collections which have receves the attention of holywood stars!
SUNGLASSES with polarized lenses and antireflective coatings
For all sport activities at the sea or the mountain, there are sunglasses with protective special lenses that have multiple anti reflex coatings and polarised filters which reduce the glare from the reflections on the surface of water or the snow at the mountain and also improve the contrast of the perceived scene!
